“we bring into community”

One of our main markets is the volunteer groups that we bring into the community to undertake infrastructure projects for the local community and for Tampat Do Aman so that we can improve our facilities and thus business all culminating in employing more locals . This year we hosted fourteen volunteer groups from the UK and embarked on some great projects : Finishing the perimeter fence for the local primary school, building a stage for the primary school , laying a connecting path for the school , installing a fish pond , renovating a reading corner for the nursery element of the school , installing a drainage system and renovating the nursery playground , painting one of the local churches Sunday school, laying driveways for the local Muslim prayer room and seventh day Adventist church, building a compost toilet for one of the churches, building a turtle hatchery for Kudat turtle conservation society, building a pig sty for the local women’s entrepreneurial cooperative, a chicken shed and path way for the same women and the building of a 35 metre pedestrian suspension bridge in our wildlife reserve. We were mega busy organising all this and getting it all sorted but it was all very rewarding and worthwhile , here are a few photos of the groups hard work :

Continuing to help support local causes Tampat Do Aman continues to support local sporting teams and events , recently it sponsored a local football team and tournament , all run by the local Harold Vines . Rugby is also a big part of Howard’s life and he has embarked on starting a rugby team in Kudat , Kudat rugby club has been formed and this weekend he and the reat of the team shall be traveling to Papar to play in the tens down there , the team , sponsored by Tampat Do Aman is hopeful of doing well and Howard hopes to come back in one piece. This weekend also sees Tampat Do Aman sponsoring the veterans catergory for the Kudat Mt bike race and wishes all participants all the very best including it’s good friend and organiser Mohd Hisham

New Year

Happy New Year from Tampat do Aman!

it’s that time of year again !!! We get to take a wee break !! We shall be closed from 12pm on the 22nd of December until the morning of the 28th . I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope that you all have a tremendous festive season. Rungus Cafe at TDA Jungle Camp

Our Rungus cafe , open at the moment for breakfast 8 until 10 so that guests can have a bit of brekky amongst the gardens and birds , next to it the museum. We are looking to expand this next year so that we also serve lunch and encourage people to stay up at TDA so that they can enjoy the wildlife reserve , museum and the gardens (they are looking real good)
